Role
We are seeking a motivated and talented Azure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced DevOps professionals and contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of our software solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Responsibilities
Azure DevOps:
Collaborate with the DevOps team to set up and configure Azure DevOps pipelines for build, test, and deployment processes.
Manage and maintain Azure DevOps projects, repositories, and permissions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the build and deployment processes.
Monitoring and Logging:
Work on setting up monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Implement alerting mechanisms for timely response to issues.
Infrastructure:
Provision clean, right sized, and secure infrastructure following best practices
Continuously evaluate existing infrastructure and identify areas for improvement, cost savings, and security
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and system administrators, to streamline the development and deployment processes.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Previous work experience in a DevOps role
Previous experience working with cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
Solid understanding of DevOps principles and best practices
Solid understanding of core infrastructure subject matter such as DNS, load balancing, Active Directory/Entra ID, role-based access control (RBAC), SSL certificates, databases, CDN, proxies, firewalls, and the relation of these and other components to one another
Experience with debugging web applications and REST APIs by inspecting HTTP request/response flow
Familiarity with creating and/or working with Docker containers
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
With the nature of work in this role, from time to time, late night work is required to accommodate nighttime releases.
Individual pay is determined by work location, internal equity and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our total compensation package for permanent roles includes a bonus opportunity, work from home allowances, fitness allowance, full healthcare plan and a generous vacation package including flex days.
